Increase in volume of applications to the Eaton Fund

The number of applications made to the Eaton Fund has trebled in the last year. The Eaton Fund is unable to give grants to all eligible applicants.  Those who have a better chance of receiving a grant:-

a) give detailed information about their background and specific need -and -

b) apply also to other charities for contributions where sums over £400 are being requested.

If you are looking for other charities who may be able to provide grants you may like to use this link for Turn2Us who can signpost you to sources of funding:  http://www.turn2us.org.uk   Turn2us helps people access the money available to them - through welfare benefits, grants and other financial help.  You can also call them on 0808 802 2000.

Giving help more often

In order to handle rising numbers of grant applications and to provide a faster response to grant  applicants, the Eaton Fund Trustees now meet 6 times a year (an increase from 5 meetings a year)  Grant applications are considered at every Trustees' meeting and with the new arrangements there are now 6 grant rounds per year.  This improvement means that the Eaton Fund can provide financial assistance to people in need more quickly.
